What You Need to Know About… Remote Viewing

It’s a scientific method of tapping into the “universal mind,” transcending time and space, and bringing the unconscious into the conscious – and YOU can learn to do it.

Are you curious about remote viewing? You have most likely heard about this mysterious practice and understand that is has something to do with ESP. What you may not know is that a person does not have to be a psychic to learn and use remote viewing. In fact, you can learn to become a remote viewer and access incredible mental powers you didn’t even know you have.

What Is Remote Viewing?

Remote viewing is the controlled use of ESP (extrasensory perception) through a specific method. Using a set of protocols (technical rules), the remote viewer can perceive a target – a person, object or event – that is located distantly in time and space. A remote viewer, it is said, can perceive a target in the past or future that is located in the next room, across the country, around the world or, theoretically, across the universe. In remote viewing, time and space are meaningless. What makes remote viewing different than ESP is that, because it uses specific techniques, it can be learned by virtually anyone.

The term “remote viewing” came about in 1971 through experimentation conducted by Ingo Swann (who correctly remote viewed in 1973 that the planet Jupiter has rings, a fact later confirmed by space probes), Janet Mitchell, Karlis Osis and Gertrude Schmeidler.

In the method that they and others developed, there are five components necessary for remote viewing to take place:

• a subject (the remote viewer)
• active ESP abilities
• a distant target
• the subject’s recorded perceptions
• a confirmatory positive feedback

A remote viewing sessions lasts about one hour.

During the Cold War through the 1970s and 1980s, remote viewing was further developed by the US military and the CIA through such programs codenamed Sun Streak, Grill Flame and Star Gate. The government-sponsored remote viewing programs were successful, according to many who participated. Some of the now-declassified examples include the highly accurate and detailed descriptions of buildings and facilities hundred of miles from the remote viewer – including a crane assembly in the Soviet Union.

Although these organizations claim that after 20 years of experimentation their remote viewing programs have been abandoned, some insiders believe that they are being continued secretly. Some well-known remote viewers say they were contacted by the US government after the September 11, 2001 terrorist attacks to help locate other possible terrorist activity.

What It Isn’t

Remote viewing is not an out-of-body experience. A remote viewer does not astrally project to the target, although some remote viewers occasionally report a feeling of bilocating to the site of the target.

It also is not a meditative, dream or trance state. During a remote viewing session, the subject is always fully awake and alert. As Christophe Brunski writes in “Remote Viewing: Conditions and Potentials,” “Whereas one might consider a trance state to be ‘going down’ into the deeper levels of mind, RV might be said to allow information from these deeper levels to ‘come up.’”

How Does It Work?

No one really knows for certain how remote viewing works, only that it does. One theory is that trained remote viewers are able to tap into the “Universal Mind” – a kind of comprehensive storehouse of information about everything, where time and space are irrelevant. The remote viewer can enter a “hyperconscious state” in which he or she can tune in to specific targets within the universal consciousness of which all people and all things are a part. It sounds like a lot of “New Age” jargon, but it’s a good guess as to what’s really taking place.

Ingo Swann calls remote viewing a “form of virtual reality traveling” that is brought under conscious control.

How well does it work? While skeptics contend that it doesn’t work at all and some proponents claim it works 100 percent of the time, the fact is it does work, but not all of the time for all remote viewers. A highly skilled remote viewer may have a success rate that approaches 100 percent; he or she may be able to access a target nearly all of the time, but all of the data obtained may not be completely accurate. There are many factors involved, and some targets may be more complicated to reach and describe than others.

Who Can Learn Remote Viewing?

Virtually anyone can learn remote viewing. You don’t need to be “psychic” to successfully remote view, but it does require training and diligent practice. Some research has shown that left-handed people are more likely to become successful at it. But learning remote viewing has been likened to learning to play a musical instrument. You’re not going to be able to read a book (or website) about it and then be able to do it. You must learn the techniques and then practice. As with a musical instrument, the more you train and practice with it, the better you’ll be able to perform. It takes time, motivation and dedication.

According to Paul H. Smith in his article “Can Remote Viewing Be Trained,” remote viewing “training has been nearly always successful to a greater or lesser degree depending on the level of motivation, preparation and innate ability of a given student viewer.” Remote viewer Joe McMoneagle has compared it to training for the martial arts.

How You Can Learn Remote Viewing

If you’re curious about the potential of remote viewing, there are many resources for learning its methods and techniques. For example, the official Army manual on Coordinate Remote Viewing, written in 1986, is available free online. It provides background, training procedures, how a remote viewing session works and more.

There are commercial courses as well, which can range in cost from free to hundreds of dollars and even thousands of dollars. Be cautious and research a company thoroughly before investing any money in training. Be wary of exaggerated claims and find out exactly what you get for your money. Here are a few sources:

Why would you want to learn remote viewing? Paul H. Smith answers:

“Within its inherent limitations remote viewing has been used in intelligence collection, crime-solving, finding missing persons, market predictions, and – more controversially – space exploration. Yet most people who learn it do so not because of practical applications so much as the challenge it represents – learning to do something that few other people as yet know how to do; or acquiring a skill deemed impossible under the currently ruling scientific paradigm; or because it provides convincing and satisfying proof that we are, indeed, much more than our physical bodies. While skydivers learn that it is possible to transcend the physical fears and bodily limitations that we normally think we are subject to, remote viewers learn something analogous: that it is possible to transcend not only those limitations, but the boundaries of space and time as well.”

In this day and age hearing the words “stay positive” is sometimes tough and seems so hard to do. We are bombarded with the negativeness of the world around us daily on the news , radio and in the newspaper. One wonders, how is it possible to remain so positive all the time. One simple answer it is not!! It is not humanly possible to be upbeat and positive on a day to day basis. There are basic things a person can do to keep positive energy in their life, dont watch the news or listen to it. Surround yourself with positive people, not people who seem to have problem after problem in their life and talk about them all the time. Keep positive thoughts, when negative ones sneak in quickly replace them with positive ones. These are just a few examples.

Living life to the fullest and seeing a problem as a challenge is a wonderful thing as well. Stop looking at it negatively, look at the positive outcome and how you, yourself can change this negative energy into something positive. Example: You want a day off but the boss has no one to replace you, instantly that becomes a negative, how do you then turn it into a positive, take that day to make someone smile, give a helping hand to someone who can truly use it, thats a couple of ways to turn your negative into a positive.

Lets say you wake up in the morning and you instantly feel negative, nothing will go right today it will just be an over all bad day, by saying that and feeling it, you just gave yourself a bad day. What you put to the universe will come back to you, if you put out negative thinking then negative energy you shall receive. Try this instead, you wake with that bad feeling for the day, instantly change it to, I will make one person smile today and make one person feel wanted. Give yourself an Angelic Affirmation is another way to turn a negative into a positive, Example: Say the following, Today I Affirm I find great satisfaction in making contributions to the world that are uniquely my own. Say it and do it and watch the negative energy of the day fade away. By quickly replacing every negative thought and emotion as soon as they hit with a positive one you will find it easier to stay that way. Will you falter, most  definitely, but that’s when you have to work harder and keep your eyes set on the positive things in your life.

See the things around you in a more positive way as well, instead of grumbling about the rain, think of it as making new things grown and rejuvenating and refreshing the energies around you. Instead of grumbling about traffic and being stuck, see it as time to yourself to simply be still, listen to your favorite radio station just a little longer and enjoy your alone time just a little longer. Each negative problem has a positive hidden in it. You need to find what that is and work with it.

Good Evening everyone and welcome back to the readingsbyjody.com blogs. I don’t normally take time to blog about myself or things happening in my life but being that it is Fathers Day I felt the need to share something that might help those out there who has a father who is passed away. After my own loving dad passed into spirit is when my own spiritual journey really began and I decided to develop and really help others. My dad was and still is the light of my life. He was my rock and my hero. He could make even the saddest of people laugh in a moments time. Then one day he was gone, and my life was empty, yes I still have my mom, who is still living but when your a daddies girl and you no longer have dad you find yourself with a huge hole in your heart. A hole you often wonder if it will be filled and a pain that seems will never go away. My dad passed into spirit in 1983 and to this very day I miss him like it was yesterday. I know he comes around and he checks on us all from time to time, which brings me comfort when I really need it.

For the people reading this who have lost their dads, know in your heart of hearts that he is and always will live in your heart forever. He will come and show you signs, such as smells ect that he is with you. He will sit with you on your bed when you cry tears for him and wipe those tears away, with the message “dont cry my big girl daddies here”. Although you may not hear him, or feel him, if you believe, TRULY believe he will come and show you he is there. If your thinking I always ask for a sign from my dad but he never shows me anything, stop, think, when you ask for something, does a song play and you think of him? Do you smell even just a quick smell of the cologne he wore? The smallest of signs are the grandest to one who is waiting for one.  You also do not need a medium to communicate with him either, talk to him as if he is standing right beside you, for normally he is.  Remember the other side has no time, so he can come to you instantly with just a thought of him. If it helps sit and write him a letter, keep it someplace special, or take it outside set the paper on fire, ( please use caution) and allow the ashes of the paper to go into the universal energy. That message will get to him.

After the many years doing readings and communicating with loved ones especially dads on fathers day I know this is one day a lot of dads come to visit and make their presence known to us. This is a day to celebrate the memories you shared, the love and the time you had together. Talk to your dad today, wish him happy fathers day, and share that bond all over again, and from all the dads in spirit: ” we know you grieve that you cant see us or be by our sides today, but we are always with our girls ( and guys) especially when the pain is the hardest. Dont cry when you see a little one with her dad, smile and remember the times we had when you were that size, your all still our babies and we still love you, and one day when it is your time to be in this wonderous place, we will be there to escort you over.

So today, replace the tears of sadness and turn them to tears of joyous memories, for our dads are still here.

This blog is dedicated to my dad…Ken. We will meet again, hug once more, and share our bond together, till then, I smile and say I love you dad!!! and I will see you again when my journey is over…

Guardian Angels: Everyone has a Guardian Angel. We all have doubts from time to time that we have them, and sometimes we even wonder if we deserve them. Have no doubt we ALL have a Guardian Angel with us, guaranteed. This is an Angel who stays with you constantly from birth to our transition back to heaven. This Angels love for you is unconditional, and greater than anything or anyone on earth. Your Guardian Angel makes certain you are safe and guided.

Guardian Angels are sometimes confused with ” Spirit Guides”. The difference between the two is quite simple actually. A spirit guide is a loving being who has lived before upon the earth in human form. Spirit Guides act in the capacity of Guardian Angels, in that they bring many gifts to our lives. The main difference is that “true” Guardian Angels have never walked as mortals upon the earth. They have a higher vibrating energy. People who are empathic, who can “feel” the sensation of the spiritual presence, can tell the difference between an Angelic and spiritual presence.  Some Clairvoyants see that Angels come as bright white light, and spirit guides energy field is not quite as bright and may at times appear bluish white.

Angels: These are beings of light who come to our calls for guidance, assistance, protection and comfort. The Angels are here to help us, most especially when our intent is to bring  joy and healing to the world. You may ask for however many Angels to surround your loved ones, your home and your business. the Angels take great joy from helping us and the only thing they ask in return is for us to remember to say Thank-You in gratitude for their help.

Arch Angels: These are the Angels that supervise the Guardian Angels as well as the angels upon the earth. You can call upon an Archangel when you need powerful and immediate assistance.

Since Angels are pure spiritual beings , they have no time or space restrictions. An Archangel can help many people in different places simultaneously. So never worry about calling upon an Angel because you fear that your need is not large enough or that the Angel may be busy. Your call for help is like sweet music to the Angels ears.

The Archangels: Each Archangel specialize in a different human condition. It is always helpful to know which Archangel handles which so you will know which one to call in your time of need. Here are the 4 major Archangels.

Archangel Michael: We often call him ” Michael”, ” ST. Michael”, since the pope names him patron saint of “Police Officers and Soldiers”. Michael is the defender of light and goodness. His chief role is to escort fallen people away so they do no harm to others. Michael and his assistant Angels also known as ” The band of Mercy” take negatively minded people ( living and deceased) to the light of God, where their minds are healed.

Call upon Michael whenever you feel frightened by negative sources. If you are in a crowd of people with abundant negative emotions, ask Michael to cleanse away the negativity. if you feel that an evolved earthbound spirit is with you, call upon Michael to  lead them into the light.

Often paintings of Michael show him with the scales of justice in his hand. The reason for this is, he is the over seer of truth and fairness. If you feel you are being treated unfairly by someone call upon Michael to intervene, dont be too surprised when this person suddenly calls you with an apology or change of heart.

I find it is a good idea to invite Michael’s presence into any room being a house or office that has a negative energy or “feel”. For example, if you recently purchased or acquired a new home that had previously been owned by unhappy or negative people it is always a good idea to invite Michael to purify the environment.

Whenever your upset, call upon Michael to restore harmony and peace. if upon your travel you go into a neighborhood or area and you feel unsafe call upon Michael to guide and protect you. You can also ask him to intervene into partnerships or marriages that are suffering from discord.

So in conclusion think of Archangel Michael as the protector of joy, harmony and safety and you will always know when it is time to call for help.

Archangel Gabriel: Gabriel is the famous Angel who told the virgin Mary of her impending birth. This Archangel is God’s messenger who brings us new of forthcoming events, changes on the horizon and new experiences in store for us. Gabriel provides a lot of help to humanly messengers, including journalists and couriers. Expectant or want to be parents can invite Gabriel into their lives to help supervise the conception and or birth of a new child. Anyone involved in a new project of any sort is wise to ask for Gabriel s assistance and advice.

The Archangel Gabriel also breaths new life into stale relationships and luck luster. Ask Gabriel to resurrect any part of your life that feels “stuck”. You will receive creative ideas and new opportunities to help get you moving again. Many people believe that  Gabriel is in charge of visions, dreams, and revelations. Ask for Gabriel s help in interpreting any of your dreams that seem mystifying.

Archangel Uriel: Archangel Uriel brings divine light into our lives. he is wonderful at healing our painful memories and transforming our regrets and mistakes so we feel strong and more loving. Ask Uriel to take your burdens related to the past. He will instantly ease your heart and mind of old unforgiveness held towards yourself or others.

This Archangel helps to see love in situations where we feel that none exist. For example, if you are having a difficult relationship with co-workers, bosses, or customers ask Uriel to help you. He will guide you and the other person in miraculous ways so that you will see the good that is inside all of us. With Uriel”s help you may forget why you were ever angry or fearful toward the people at work in the first place.

Folklore says that Uriel warned Noah of the coming flood. This Archangel helps during times of disaster such as earthquakes, tornadoes, and torrential rains.

Ask Uriel to help you whenever you feel fear about these situations. he may guide you to move to a different locale or prepare your home for maximum safety. Uriel helps families to stay safe and intact during natural disasters.

If your life feels like one giant shifting earthquake , ask Uriel to re-orient your mind and thoughts to regain peace of mind. Uriel helps us to establish a calm and centered life.

Uriel also helps us to fulfill our goals and dreams. He offers help completely, including giving is ideas, keeping us encouraged and motivated, and helping us to manifest the material supplies we need for our projects.  invite Uriel to be your partner in anything you work on.

Archangel Raphael: Raphael is in charge of all forms of healing needs of the earth and also its population. Raphael guides and helps people involved in the healing arts, such as doctors, practitioners, nurses, counselors, ecologists, and scientists. However they can always ask for additional help which Raphael is happy to provide.

If you currently work in the healing profession invite Raphael into your life. He will whisper guidance in your ear.He also gives us creative ideas and needed information so that we can rapidly heal other people. Raphael steps in during medical crisis to ensure miraculous ” coincidences” line up all the right personnel and medical supplied with immaculate timing. Raphael is wonderful in helping scientists to create new break throughs in medical cures. So it is wise for all of us to pray for Raphael s help with health issues that confound the scientific community.

Those who aspire to be healers are the darlings of Archangel Raphael. This Archangel knows the earth needs many of these special people, and he miraculously helps would be  healers to enter their chosen profession. He can more easily help these people when they are free of tension and fear. So leave all your concerns and worries about your future healing career to Raphael.

If you or a loved one needs healing Raphael is the Archangel to call upon. Except for cases where a persons death or illness is part of  their over all divine plan.

Raphael also has a second specialty. He guides and protects travelers  of all sorts. Whether your on a spiritual journey or a trip to Europe call upon Raphael to smooth the way.

To Angels or Archangels no job is too “big” or “small”. All miracles are equally important to these beings who love with all the might of God. All they ask in return , is that we thank them for their help, share their devotion to God, and we fill our lives with joy and service.

Welcome to the readingsbyjody blogs once again. I wanted to write this because I have been receiving many emails since my blog about the Ouija, many of these emails have been asking me about the boards that look exactly like the Ouija but have been named Angel Message Boards. Here is my view on this:

I myself have made my view very well known many times on the Ouija boards, I do not like them and I wish they would be pulled from the market, however, the Angel Message Boards are entirely different. These boards were created with the sole purpose of communicating with your angels. I myself own one of these boards. The board itself is beautiful, full of colors and nature scenes, the planchette  or the pointer is in the shape of an Angel.  I do not feel there is any similarity to the Angel Board and the Ouija. The Angel board was created for the sole purpose of communication with your angels, not spirits. Just to be on the safe side you can always say a prayer to your Angels before you begin.

Upon opening your board and laying it out, I always use a scent of Jasmine in the air as Angels to me anyways always come with the smell of Jasmine , Light a few candles ( any color, I prefer pink) and say a prayer. Something like this, of course you can always make up your own, as your spoken word is the most powerful. Angels I call upon thee today to communicate with me through this tool, I open the board and myself to your words and your wisdom, I do NOT allow any other spirit to come through this board as this is used for my communication with my angels. Angels I ask that you protect me and surround the board and myself from other energies.

That prayer will ask for protection and show you want Angelic Communication ONLY!

Just like the ouija though this is not a  toy, it is to be used with the highest and the best for yourself and out of respect for your Angelic helpers. It may not always work the first time but keep trying eventually they will send many messages of love and guidance for you. Always remember to close with a small prayer and a thank you to your Angels.

I normally write my own, and shall post them at a later time, but these I have found in a book by Sylvia Browne, Called Meditations. Again I have picked out the easiest ones I could find and not only that I find these beautiful and will really help in the specific situation it is intended for. Again I did NOT write these, I just simply wish to share them with others who do not have this book and love or are just starting to mediate. There are so many wonderful meditations in this book by Sylvia Browne, from this point when I want to blog one I will just be blogging it by the Name of the meditation in the book. The Purple Flame: I want you to breathe, and let a surge of relaxation come right up through the very bottom of your feet, cleansing out all illness. Demand to be rinsed clean of all negativity and anything your brought over with you from a past life that is causing phobias or illnesses. From this moment on, you are going to be just as addicted as I am to spirituality. It is probably the most beautiful euphoria you will ever know.

Sitting in a relaxed position just ask for a bubble of light to surround you, And I want you to visualize yourself sitting in the middle of a purple flame, which is engulfing you almost as if you were sitting in the center of a lotus blossom. Purple is the most spiritual color. Once your mind and spirit are together, your body follows suit.

This purple flame rinses out any negativity or past life overlays that you are carrying. You release any past feelings of hurt, vengeance, victimization, or isolation. As the light vibrates it cleanses sickness out of your body, mind, and spirit. Say to yourself, “My spirit can never be sick. Disease is only an overlay, I now drop that from me with the power of the Holy Spirit and Christ Consciousness.

Now, energy courses up through the very bottoms of your feet and through your calves, knees, thighs, and the trunck of your body. Every organ is cured and healed. The light not travels to your shoulders, arms, hands and fingertips: now it goes up to the throat, face, mouth, sinus cavities, eyes and the back of your head and neck. I want you to demand that the last vestiges of any illness, phobia or fear has been released right now through the power of the Holy Spirit.

From this moment on, you will get better and feel more dignity of self. You will love yourself.

Many times I get emails at the website readingsbyjody.com from people asking me; where are my guides and angels when i truly need them? Why have they left me to feel so alone? As someone who communicates with Angels daily for clients I have asked them this and they seem to have the same answer each and every single time I have asked them this. Here is the messages I have received from the Angelic realm and I am sure it is the same for Spirit Guides as well.

People ask where are we? We have never left them, they have forgotten we have been right with them the entire time. We stand in the back ground watching and waiting for their calls for help and none come. The Divine realm cannot intervene unless you open your hearts to us and ask us for our wisdom and our guidance. Then there are the times we do receive your calls for help and we come, we help but you do not listen to our messages. You have closed yourself off to us, and when we send signs or symbols they are over looked. We know this is not done with intent, but with hearts that have become so closed or are in pain one cannot hear us or recognize our symbols for you. We are not “Grand” messengers, we often come with the sound of the wind, or the ruffle of a feather, you as a physical being must be able to see and feel our symbols. We have not left, We never will leave, We love every single one of you with pure divine love and energy. Hear us, Feel us and we shall be felt.

Now on to what this message has meant to me. The words are very clear that the angels have spoken. We feel the need for their love and divine guidance but we forget sometimes we need to call upon them, they as divine energy can not help us unless we ask. Its the same as if we are in medical need, medical help can not come unless we pick up that phone and call for help. So we call and then we wait, what exactly are we waiting for? There are situations that happen in our lives that “we” spiritual selves need to work through on our own, to learn the lesson contained in the situation. We need to work through it ourselves and become stronger, its the same as asking someone to do school work for you, how do You learn when someone does the work for you?

Angels, unlike the spirit realm, do not give out as they call them “grand” messages, they are subtle, and they use nature often as a way of sending messages and answers. I have seen them use music or even road signs as a way of getting their messages across to us. Ask for their guidance, their wisdom then pay attention, close attention. Open your heart, and do not wait for them to fix things for you, you have to make some choices and do some of the work on our own.

We walk through this journey we call life and sometimes we feel alone, but we are never truly alone in our lives. We may not always feel, hear or see the ones that walk with us but rest assured they are right beside you. It is up to you to make that call for help, and know truly know they will help you. Asking things like prove to me your here, or give me a sign with angels never works, they are not with us to prove to us they exist, it is up to us to know, accept and believe they do.

How does one mediate? All of us at readingsbyjody.com get asked daily to help with psychic development and one of the many questions when it comes to psychic development is about meditation. Meditation has more benefits then psychic development as well. It calms the physical body therefore releasing us from day to day stress. A simple 10-15 minute a day meditation can release stress as well as finding inner peace and balance. Meditation can also help us understand our own minds as well. We can learn to transform our mind from negative to positive, from hectic to peaceful, and from unhappy to happy. The purpose of meditation is to make our mind calm and peaceful. if the mind is at peace it only makes sense the body and spirit will follow.

Breathing is a very important piece of the meditation process, focus on your breathing, keeping it slow and calm. When starting any meditation by doing a simple breathe in to the count of four through your nose and out to the count of four through your mouth, keep doing this breathing technique, the rest will follow.

Way before you begin your mediation process you should make yourself a personal space, sometimes this is not always possible with families and the size of ones living quarters. By taking time out for a simple ten minutes as stated above to quiet your mind will refresh and rejuvenate you. Now, lets get back to the part if you do have the time and the space to make yourself a meditation place. First you want to pick a quiet calm spot, someplace comfortable ( do not lie down you will fall asleep each and every time) a corner is fine, get pillows and make a sitting spot on the floor for yourself. Just make sure your comfortable, Next scents are also important, something calming like lavender and jasmine, you can pick and candle or scented oil which suits you. Music helps as well. Nothing with words though, I use nature music, sounds of water falls help with my mediation. Again this is a personal choice, some people also like drumming music. Make this your sanctuary, add crystals if you have them, anything that feels calming and personal to you can be added. There is no set number of things to make your own personal space.

Next make yourself as comfortable as possible, sitting up, eyes closed,hands rested on your lap, and do your breathing techniques as discussed earlier. Deep breath in through your nose to the count of four and out to the count of four, you will feel your body relaxing as you do this, If your having a hard time clearing your mind of images of things you need to do, have done during the day, picture in your minds eye a candle flame, stay focused on that. If your mind draws back to daily things, draw it back to the flame but continue on your breathing. Most important don’t force yourself, the more you do this the easier it gets. You do not need to take yourself anywhere, visit other places just relax and breath, clear mind and breath. As time goes on  then you can invite your Angels, Guides and Loved ones to join you, but to begin the important thing is breathing, relaxing the body and the mind.

This is a process and may not happen the first or the tenth time you do this. Meditation is not complicated, dont over think it, allow yourself to be in the moment and listen with your heart. Practice for a few times, even 5-10 minutes a day will show you results.

I have put together some of the terms used so that people know what each one means. This is not only for the beginner but also for the readers who may have forgotten some of them along the way. AKASHIC RECORDS: Sometimes called the book of life. A record kept by each soul that includes words spoken, deeds, and thoughts. This is an eternal record of every experience and life the soul encounters.

ARCHANGELS: Angels of the highest order, they are the Angels closest to God.

AURA:  The colorful electro-magnetic field that radiates from and around a physical body. Sometimes referred to as the “over-soul”, it is the part of the soul that can be seen with the eye.

CHAKRAS: The human body has seven energy centers called Chakras. A psychic can see the colorful energy centers in a persons aura or spiritual body. The spiritual energy centers are directly linked to the physical health of the human body. When in perfect order they are  seen as bright, vibrant vortexes of energy.

CHANNEL: A person who has the ability to access the universal consciousness and translate information from spirits.

CLAIR AUDIENCE: The ability to hear sounds from the Spirit realm.

CLAIRVOYANCE: The ability to clearly see spirits or symbols and relay the information.

DEJA VU: A soul memory recall of a familiar place or person from a past life. A past life event memory. A current event that evokes a memory of the event happening before. A memory that has taken place in the spiritual plane that is now taking place in the physical realm.

EGO: Our conscious mind that passes judgment and makes decisions based on appearances or intelligence.

GUARDIAN ANGELS: A specific angel that was assigned to each of us. They never leave us from our birth, they help and protect us during our life and continue with us through the transformation we call death and into the afterlife.

KARMA: The Universal Law of cause and effect. What you sow, so you shall reap. Every action causes a reaction.

MEDIUM: A person who has the ability to communicate with the other-side: departed loved ones, Angels, and Spirit guides, and other souls residing in the spirit world.

NEAR DEATH EXPERIENCE: When the physical body experiences  death and the soul leaves the body, travels to the spirit realm and then returns to the body with the remembrance of the experience.

PSYCHIC: A person who has thei ability to “read” another persons energy or vibrations and relay accurate information about their past, present and future.

PSYCHIC EMPATHY; The ability to feel the emotions and physical sensations of another, either spirit or of a human. ( Interesting enough we talked about just this very topic last week on the radio show, The Psychic Coffee Hour, on themixtalk.com).

PSYCHOMETRY: The ability to “read” objects or photos  by tuning into the vibration or energy field surrounding that object and receiving information about it. ( This ability is used widely when working on missing person cases).

REINCARNATION: The rebirth of a soul into a new body.

SILVER CORD: The etheric cord that attaches the physical body to the spiritual body, the soul.

SOUL: The spirit , the essence, or core of our being that is eternal.

SPIRIT GUIDE: A spirit that helps us with a specific aspect of our spiritual development while on earth. We each have one Spirit Guide that stays with us from birth through death. Other Spirit Guides are assigned to  us for different periods of time to help us through different phases of life.

SPIRITUAL READING: A personal counseling session with a Psychic Medium whom chooses to receive information only from God and his helpers.

SUBCONSCIOUS: A part of the mind that holds all memories. The subconscious mind acts as a filter for the conscious mind.

THE COUNCIL: A highly evolved group of twelve Ascended Masters, sometimes referred to as “The Elders”. They are in charge of humanity”s Karma. The Council is in charge of ” The Book of Life”.

VICTIM SOUL: A person who has chosen to soak up a large amount of Karma for humanity.

I would like to get away from psychic readings and development for just a few minutes, I found a very interesting article that I wanted to share with everyone, this article is about the history of the Quija, who owns the patent and more, this topic holds a special interest for me which I shall explain later but for now lets do some history and see where this tool came from. Again I did not write this but i wanted to share the information itself with everyone.

Charles Kennard was not long for the Ouija business. Kennard’s partners, headed by powerful Baltimore capitalist Washington Bowie, withdrew his authorization to produce the Ouija board after only fourteen months. The firm continued under corporate control as the Ouija Novelty Company until 1898 and then appointed employee William Fuld, and his brother Isaac as manufacturers. With that single stroke of fate, William Fuld came to be the one history would forever remember as the father of the Ouija board. Charles Kennard remained marginally in the toy business and even produced and patented other talking boards but he is largely forgotten today.

William and Isaac Fuld embarked successfully on their new venture and manufactured Ouija boards in record numbers. Nevertheless, this business partnership was not to last. Ouija Novelty’s contract with the Fulds was for three years only. At the end of this period, William formed his own company—ended the partnership, and with that Isaac’s rights to produce the Ouija board ended also. A legal battle followed. The acrimony created a bitter family feud that was to last for generations. Isaac worked from his home workshop where he produced and sold Ouija facsimiles, called Oriole talking boards, and pool and smoking tables. Ouija Novelty collected revenues on the Ouija name from Willam Fuld and then in 1919 relinquished the remaining rights. William sold millions of Ouija boards, toys, and other games and kept a job as a US customs inspector. Later in life he became a member of Baltimore’s General Assembly.

One of William Fuld’s first public relations gimmicks, as master of his new company, was to reinvent the history of the talking board. He said that he himself had invented the board and that the name Ouija was a fusion of the French word “oui” for yes, and the German “ja” for yes. He also made other unlikely claims. Whether he took himself seriously is a matter lost to history. He may have thought apocryphal tales a fun way to sell Ouija boards and to poke fun at a gullible press.

For twenty-six years William Fuld ran the company through good times and bad. In February 1927, he climbed to the roof of his Harford Street factory in Baltimore to supervise the replacement of a flagpole. A support post that he was holding gave way and he fell backwards to his death. Following his death, William’s children took over and marketed many interesting Ouija versions of their own, including the rare and marvelous Art Deco Electric Mystifying Oracle. In 1966, they retired and sold the business to Parker Brothers. Parker Brothers produced an accurate Fuld reproduction and briefly even made a Deluxe Wooden Edition Ouija. They own all trademarks and patents to this day.

Almost from the beginning, William Fuld’s Ouija board suffered fierce competition from other toy makers. Everyone wanted to make a variation of the Wonderful Talking Board. Ouija imitations with names like “The Wireless Messenger” and I Do Psycho Ideograph, flooded the market. Some companies, like J.M. Simmons and Morton E. Converse & Son even used the Ouija name and the identical board layout. Fuld responded with legal threats and by marketing a second, less expensive talking board, the Mystifying Oracle.

The 1940s saw a virtual cornucopia of artistic and colorful talking boards. Perhaps the most beautiful were Haskelite’s Egyptian themed Mystic Boards and Mystic Trays. Other major players were two Chicago novelty companies, Gift Craft, and Lee Industries. Adorned with everything from wizards to cannibals, these talking boards were wonderful departures from Fuld’s simple number boards. Gift Craft’s popular Swami featured a flying carpet scene and a genii consulting a crystal ball. Lee’s Magic Marvel, done in eye-catching red and yellow, had four turbaned soothsayers, the zodiac, and a couple of grumpy demons thrown in just for luck. Love them or not, no one could call them boring.

Today, as in the past, there are companies that produce interesting variants of the talking board. Prevailing designs largely reflect current trends in New Age sentiment and manufacturers make every attempt to avoid any negative connotations. Some of these designs are simple letter boards, while others incorporate complex astrological and Tarot symbolism. With a few exceptions, manufacturing costs usually limit these boards to the folding cardboard variety.

In early 1999, Parker Brothers stopped manufacturing the classic Fuld Ouija board and switched to a smaller less detailed glow in the dark version. Gone is the faux bird’s eye maple lithograph and gone is the name William Fuld. Although some of us may morn its passing, we must remember the Parker Brothers slogan: “It’s only a game—isn’t it?

Now on to my view of the board. Personally i believe and think every single one of these boards should be pulled from stores such as Toys R us, I feel that allowing children access to this tool is wrong. No matter how it is marketed this is NOT a toy, it works exactly as it is promoted to work which is to contact the spirit realm.

I have heard so many stories of teens or young adults having spirit problems and the first question I always ask…Have you used a Quija board recently, nine times out of ten the answer is yes. People are using these boards and not knowing how it works for one and secondly how to close the circle or doorway once your done. They play it like it is a game, which is how it is marketed. My personal advice NEVER use one and if you have, take the board outside and burn it, cleanse your home and get rid of any left over energy or spirit that is left behind. To use one of these boards you need to know what your doing, what doorways your opening and stop hanging out an ALL IS WELCOME sign when u do use one.
